The Huawei Digital China Tour 2024: Ningxia New Quality Productive Forces Summit, also known as the AI Industry Forum, took place on Sept 14 at the Ningxia Artificial Intelligence Industrial Park in Wuzhong, Ningxia.

The event gathered industry leaders and experts to discuss the digital economy, digital energy, and data elements, aiming to collaborate with ecosystem partners on Ningxia's digital and intelligent transformation.

Zhang Heng, general manager of Huawei Technologies Co Ningxia Branch, highlighted Huawei's commitment to attracting high-quality partners to develop Ningxia's computing power industry and promote the aggregation, development, and shared reuse of data elements.

Ma Gang, vice-mayor of Wuzhong, emphasized the city's efforts to use data-driven approaches, algorithm optimization, and model innovation to enhance product innovation, industry clustering, and application empowerment through AI technology.

The unveiling ceremonies for the Ningxia Industrial Internet Industry Alliance Wuzhong Branch and the Ningxia Data Element Service Center were also held during the forum.

Ningxia's digital economy now accounts for over 35 percent of its GDP. Through strategic action plans, it is accelerating the construction of the national integrated computing power network hub in Ningxia and the National (Zhongwei) New Internet Exchange Center, aiming to further increase the digital economy's contribution to GDP.

During the summit, an exhibition showcased Huawei's extensive product applications across various sectors, including digital government, large enterprises, manufacturing, transportation, education, healthcare, and smart cities.

The SME Digital Transformation Sub-Forum and the Public Sector Partners Seminar were held concurrently. These forums featured multi-perspective insights on SME digital transformation practices in sectors such as food, finance, and industrial parks, along with in-depth discussions on solutions and practices in digital government, education, and healthcare.
