The China-Spain Political Party Dialogue was held in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region on May 14.
Lu Kang, vice-minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, stated that this year marks the 50th anniversary of China-Europe diplomatic relations and the 20th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Spain. The healthy and stable development of China-Spain relations relies on the political guidance and vigorous promotion of the two countries' political parties.

Lu added that China hopes to deepen strategic communication and ideological exchange between Chinese and Spanish political parties through the dialogue and raise the China-Spain comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level.
"Thank you to Ningxia for hosting this dialogue. We hope to continue strengthening ties with China and to help more people in Spain better understand China and Ningxia. This will bring more tourists and investments to China and Ningxia," said Juan Ruiz, chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Spain's Congress of Deputies.

Lei Dongsheng, secretary-general of the CPC of Ningxia, expressed hope that cooperation between Ningxia and Spain will become both deeper and broader, injecting new impetus into China-Spain and China-Europe cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Spanish representatives expressed their eagerness to work with China to enhance consensus through dialogue, embrace the future through cooperation, and jointly address global challenges such as climate change and digital transformation.
