A 420-kilometer-long, 3-kilometer-wide "Green Great Wall" of forests will soon span the Kubuqi Desert, forcibly severing the path of sand. As the launching site for the three landmark campaigns of the Three North Shelter Forest Program (TNSFP), the character-shaped riverbed region of the Yellow River is Northern China's fiercest ecological battleground. This green defense line, built with human effort, technology and collaboration, not only safeguards the ecological security of the Yellow River and North China but also forges an effective path for global desertification control.
