Ningxia paints vibrant picture of holiday consumption

Ningxia Hui autonomous region boosted both tourism and consumption during the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holiday. During this period, the region received 6.83 million domestic tourist visits, generating 4.97 billion yuan ($355 million) in tourism revenue.

Special funds worth up to 209 million yuan were invested to promote consumption in industries such as culture, tourism, automotives, household appliances, and catering. Themed activities, agricultural product promotions, and sport events were also funded to benefit tourists.

Free official and temporary parking lots were opened, and the opening hours of museums, stadiums, and scenic spots were extended for the convenience of visitors.

Ningxia launched 212 holiday-themed consumption promotion activities under six major categories, allowing visitors to savor the delights of the holiday through immersive experiences.

Across the region, various localities have been thoroughly exploring their regional cultures, organizing and launching a series of diverse cultural activities. For instance, Guyuan has held opera events such as Qinqiang performance exhibitions.

Ningxia is also promoting the integration of agriculture, culture, tourism, commerce, and sports. Yinchuan has launched seven tourist routes and 19 consumption-boosting activities centered around the wine industry.
