"These are the common food that Guyuan locals eat every day. We never expected them to be so popular in Suzhou," said a business representative from Guyuan attending the event.
Hua Zhimin, Party secretary of Guyuan city, said Suzhou and Guyuan are both millennium-old cities, hometowns of literature, and spiritual highlands.
"Step into Guyuan, tourists can stroll through its streets and lanes, and savor the delicious food that is rare to taste outside the city", Hua said.
Hua expects Guyuan and Suzhou would advance ties in the months to come.
