The 5th China-Arab States Expo will be held from Aug 19 to 22, in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region.
Darika Latthaphiphat, president of Dhurakij Pundit University will attend the event.
Latthaphiphat quoted a saying to reflect the relationship between China and Thailand – "China and Thailand being the members of one family", that is, the two countries are sincere friends working together.
Indeed, China and Thailand have close ties in many aspects, including ethnicity, culture, trade and the economy. With a long history of cooperation, China-Thailand friendly relations will continue to develop steadily in the long term, and will achieve a deeper all-round cooperation, said the president.
Currently, a growing number of countries are paying attention to and discussing the Belt and Road Initiative, which concerns the economic route between China and the Arab world, with more than 22 Arab countries and over 200 million people involved, Latthaphiphat added.
As a significant hub for China's opening-up for the Asia-Europe route, Ningxia Hui autonomous region will be a vital participant in the expo and also a key partner for countries along the route. Latthaphiphat wished for the China-Arab States Expo to be held successfully and to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation worldwide.
