With the opening of the First China(Ningxia)International Wine Culture and Tourism Expo, the appraisal of classification of the wineries at the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains in Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region were unveiled on Sunday.

Among the 57 wineries on the list, nine are second-tier, 15 third-tier, 18 fourth-tier and 15 fifth-tier.

It's hoped the classification system for wineries, which is held every two years, will lay a basis for the wine-producing area to ascend to one that is first-rate in the world.
