Liupan Mountain in Guyuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, welcomes its golden autumn in October. One of the youngest mountains in China, it has forest coverage on over 80 percent of its slopes, with 788 different kinds of plants. Steep rocks and dense vegetation create a majestic sight, especially from a bird's-eye view. The mountain's forests are also important for water conservation in Northwest China.
