Ningxia is located in the hinterland of Northwest China. With its high altitude and long hours of sunlight, it has abundant wind and solar energy resources. Ningxia is the leading region for China's new energy industry due to its unique natural conditions.

To achieve high-quality development of the clean energy industry, the region will take innovative measures to improve energy efficiency and develop the industry in a high-end, green and intelligent way, such as by combining stored energy equipment manufacturing with clean energy utilization.
Ningxia has drafted a development plan for the industry that focuses on key areas such as photovoltaic manufacturing, wind power, hydropower and hydrogen power.

According to the plan, the installed power-generating capacity of renewable energy will exceed 40 million kilowatts by 2025, accounting for more than 50 percent of the country's total installed power-generating capacity.
By 2025, as an industry leader in photovoltaic manufacturing, Ningxia will be a national comprehensive demonstration zone for new energy with high standards.
