After preliminary research, it was found that the drawings are mainly carved on the surface of sand rock, which is generally grey-brown. There are a total of 11 rock drawings and over 30 single images that can be identified. The drawings show people riding and hunting, as well as animals like sheep, horses and camels. The drawings were made by chiseling into the stone. They are well-preserved, concentrated and vivid.

The department of cultural relics of Shizuishan will carry out electronic positioning, registration and filing of this new cultural relic site, as well as record other detailed information in order to protect them. The next step is to invite researchers from the Ningxia Rock Art Research Center to carry out research on periodization and protection of the drawings.
