On October 24, 85.8 tons of frozen potato chips produced by Xuechuan Liupanshan (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. were exported to Thailand, after being supervised and qualified by Zhongwei Customs. It was the first time for Guyuan to export this kind of product, and has laid a good foundation for the local potato industry to further expand into overseas markets, and injected new vitality into the development of Guyuan's foreign trade economy.
"Our company was registered in Guyuan, Ningxia, in 2021. After the completion of all the projects, the annual processing of frozen potato products will exceed 190,000 tons. In the process of developing the export business of frozen potato chips for the first time, customs helped us sort out the export process and relevant enterprise qualification registration, which encouraged us to be more confident in consolidating and expanding into overseas markets in the future." said Wang Weiya, manager of the foreign trade department of Xuechuan Liupanshan (Ningxia).
Guyuan, as an important potato distribution center, has a good ecological environment and special geographical conditions, which contribute to growing high quality potatoes that are large, high in starch content, and good-tasting.
