Good news came for the China (Yinchuan) Cross-Border E-Commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone on January 28th, with the notice that enterprises can complete online registration for overseas warehouses on cross-border e-commerce exports through the "Single Window for Foreign Trade" or "Internet of Things + customs", which can save two or three days on average when compared with offline registration.

Overseas warehouses on cross-border e-commerce exports refers to a new foreign trade model in which domestic enterprises export goods to overseas warehouses through cross-border logistics, and once overseas buyers place orders on e-commerce platforms, the goods are directly delivered from overseas warehouses to consumers. Overseas warehouses shorten the delivery distance, improve the global supply chain of Chinese enterprises, reduce operation costs, and help "Made in China" go global.

According to a staff member of Yinchuan Customs, traditionally, the enterprises needed to bring a full set of paper application materials to register overseas warehouses on site. Since then, the whole process can now be achieved online and the progress can be checked anytime, which is more efficient and convenient. The reform of the registration mode will further facilitate cross-border e-commerce enterprises.
