Xixia district will accelerate the high-quality development of Yinchuan Science and Technology Innovation New Town, contributing to building a beautiful Ningxia.
The district will focus on developing advantageous industries, start construction of six wineries, add 5,000 mu (about 333.33 hectares) of grape planting and attempt to achieve a comprehensive output value in the grape and wine industry exceeding 3.5 billion yuan (about $508.81 million).
Solid progress will be made in project construction, with a project operating rate of over 70 percent in the first quarter and a total investment of more than 13.6 billion yuan completed throughout the year.
In terms of education, the district will expand five schools in Yinchuan, adding 6,000 admission quotas, and the coverage rate of inclusive kindergartens will reach 90.5 percent.
In addition, the district will implement 15 east-west technology cooperation projects, with 125 technology transfer achievements to be realized, and turnover of technology contracts to grow by more than 12 percent exceeding 500 million yuan. The research and development (R&D) investment intensity will reach 5.89 percent, and more than 500 industrial engineers and highly-skilled talents will be cultivated.
