The 5th China-Arab States Expo will be held in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, from August 19 to 22, and will set up a cross-border e-commerce sector for the first time.

On August 19, the cross-border e-commerce exhibition will be held at Yinchuan International Convention and Exhibition Center, with the cross-border e-commerce innovation and development forum being held simultaneously at the Sheraton Yinchuan.

In the post-pandemic era, new business modes have become the new driving force to push forward the upgrading and transformation, as well as the high quality development, of foreign trade.

To seize the market, Yinchuan fully promotes the construction of comprehensive pilot zones for cross-border e-commerce, ensuring the development of new business modes such as "bonded+" and "internet+". The city launched an international truck express service to countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, which opened up a new land transport channel in western China. This is expected to drive regional industrial upgrades and development, as well as achieve the development of a cross-border e-commerce industrial cluster.

The cross-border e-commerce exhibition and the cross-border e-commerce innovation and development forum will grasp the opportunity of the ecological protection of the Yellow River basin in Ningxia, and the construction of a high quality development pilot zone. It will focus on the cross-border e-commerce market of China and Arab countries by building up platforms for the displaying, cooperation and communication of world famous cross-border e-commerce enterprises.

The exhibition and forum will smooth out the new channel for the foreign trade development of inland areas, especially in western China. It will also provide an excellent opportunity for consumers to buy imported and exported products.

The exhibition covers an area of 1,500 square meters, including three display regions for world famous cross-border e-commerce platforms and new technologies, new retail products of cross-border e-commerce, and the achievements of the cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone.

In addition, the exhibition will attract famous domestic and overseas cross-border e-commerce platforms and enterprises of technologies, payment and storage. It aims to build a platform for business negotiations, technological cooperation and talent communication, and push forward the in-depth integration of the traditional manufacturing industry and the internet, as well as fueling industrial transformation and upgrades.

It is estimated that more than 1,000 imported goods from over 20 countries, such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Canada and the United States, will gather at the Yinchuan International Convention and Exhibition Center, where consumers can buy various well-known global commodities, such as cosmetics, health products, mother and baby products, and snacks.

Industry authorities and enterprise leaders will be invited to the forum to focus on the cross-border e-commerce market in China and Arab countries. They will discuss new trends and modes of the industry, and provide suggestions for the high quality development of cross-border e-commerce and international trade rule making.

The forum will release the construction achievements of the Yinchuan cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone, and a signing ceremony of cooperative projects will also be held.
