Zhao Yongqing, vice-chairman of Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region, announced a list of deliverables of the Fifth China-Arab States Expo in Yinchuan, capital city of the autonomous region, on August 20.
The Fifth China-Arab States Expo opened in Yinchuan on August 19, and is scheduled to wrap up on August 22.
The opening of the Fifth China-Arab States Expo has received great support from the Ministry of Commerce, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, and other parties from home and overseas.
A total of 277 deliverables, which entail a total investment and trade volume of 156.67 billion yuan ($24.1 billion), have been reached at the Fifth China-Arab States Expo. The list of deliverables includes 199 investment projects, worth 153.92 billion yuan, and 24 trade projects, worth 2.75 billion yuan. 54 policy reports and memorandums of agreement have also been published or inked by relevant parties over the same period.
The Fifth China-Arab States Expo witnessed the signing of 20 projects, with a total investment of 59.25 billion yuan, from the list on August 20. They accounted for 37.8 percent of the total number of deliverables at the expo.
There are 8 various deliverables with a total investment of 11.18 billion yuan at the national level. They are the Development Process of the China-Arab States Economic and Trade Relations Annual Report (2020), the China-Arab States Economic and Trade Cooperation Annual Report (2021), the 2nd-phase Projects List of the United Nations Industrial Development of the Organization's South-South Industrial Cooperation Center in China, the Memorandum of Understanding on the China-Arab States Network Technology Transfer and Coordination Base in Nigeria, the Frameworks of Cooperation on the China-Arab States Technology Transfer Centers in Jordan and Dubai, the Cirata Floating Photovoltaic Power Plant in Indonesia, and the Red Sea Comprehensive Intelligent Energy Investment Project in Saudi Arabia. Total investment of the last two projects exceeds 11.18 billion yuan.
Eight provincial-level regions, including Beijing, Tianjin, Zhejiang, Henan and Guangdong, have inked 10 investment projects worth 7.43 billion yuan with Arab states and other Belt and Road countries during the Fifth China-Arab States Expo.

Ningxia has signed 257 investment and trade projects and memorandums of agreement, entailing 138.06 billion yuan, at the Fifth China-Arab States Expo. More specifically, they include 187 investment projects with total an investment of 135.31 billion yuan, 24 trade projects with a total investment of 2.75 billion yuan, and 46 memorandums of agreement.
The list of 277 deliverables covers multiple sectors, such as electronic information, green energy, new materials, green food, production cooperation, internet plus healthcare, and tourism cooperation. Ningxia will make intensified efforts to develop nine major industrial cooperation projects with a total investment of 127.68 billion yuan. The number of its cooperation projects and its investment volume account for 55.6 percent and 81.5 percent of the total amount respectively.
The Business Summit and the Belt and Road Investment Promotion Conference, two parallel events of the Fifth China-Arab States Expo, have witnessed the signing of 28 investment projects with a total investment of 3.43 billion yuan, 18 trade projects with a total investment of 1.69 billion yuan, and 37 memorandums of agreement.
Henan and Chongqing, two specially invited regions at the expo, have respectively inked three and six cooperative agreements with Ningxia.
Meanwhile, the Ningxia government has reached separate strategic cooperation frameworks with China Resources, the CRRC Corporation, Huawei Technologies, the China Energy Engineering Group, the Shanghai Electric Wind Power Group, and the Guangdong Electric Group, with the aim of pushing their cooperation to a high-level and broaden its scope, as well as laying a solid foundation for the future development of major industrial clusters in the autonomous region.
